Tomas Zierhofer-Kin’s Seminar

‘Innovations in the creative process’, a two-day seminar for theatre producers and art managers, was held on the 5th and 6th of December 2016 on the platform of the Cultural Management Institute. It was led by the new artistic director of the Wiener Festwochen Tomas Zierhofer-Kin. Dedicated to contemporary methods of producing cultural projects, the seminar was organised by the Aksenov Family Foundation, Avesta Group, International Festival and School of Contemporary Art TERRITORIЯ, and the Moscow Museum of Contemporary Art.

Archstoyanie 2016

Archstoyanie 2016 had its 11th consecutive run this year. The organisers framed the main theme as the concept of asylum, returning to the original role of Nikola-Lenivets as an asylum for the artists and architects seeking freedom and solitude. Aksenov Family Foundation was a partner in the educational programme of the festival curated by Antonio Geusa, a PhD in Media Arts, critic, and video-art specialist.

V Moscow Biennale for Young Art

The Moscow International Biennale for Young Art ran at Trekhgornaya Manufaktura in summer 2016. Aksenov Family Foundation supported the discussion and educational programme ‘Digital Ecology: Art after Internet’ held as a part of the biennale.

Strategic Planning

On 12 May, 2016, a seminar on strategic planning in cultural institutions was held in the Moscow Museum of Modern Art. The third seminar completed the educational cycle titled “Cultural Marketing: Diversification of Resources” which was launched by Aksenov Family Foundation, Vladimir Smirnov and Konstantine Sorokin Foundation, and Avesta Group in 2015 – 2016.

Planning a fundraising campaign
